anuary 23, 2019 – The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score dropped by six points as Canada immigration authorities conducted the second Express Entry draw of 2019 on January 23.
Invitations to Apply were issued to 3,900 candidates across all programs, with a minimum CRS score of 443.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has now issued a record high of 3,900 ITAs in nine consecutive draws.
IRCC has issued 7,800 ITAs in the first two draws of 2019, compared to 5,500 in the first two draws of 2018, showing how the rate of invitations is significantly above previous years.
Express Entry ITAs After Two Draws
Canada has a high-skilled immigration intake target of 81,400 for 2019, after breaking the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.
This was the second round of invitations under Express Entry in 2019 and 109th overall.
Stakeholders expect to see near 30 draws and more than 80,000 invitations issued in 2019, with a majority of draws featuring CRS scores below 450 to enable Canadian immigration authorities to meet targeted annual immigration levels for 2019.
